Sliding Blocks Has anyone solved the problem of a block sliding down two planes inclined to each other. No friction.?
A block sliding down one plane is a well known peoblem. But a block sliding down one plane and meeting another plane also inclined has not been solved anywhere. Since there is no friction, will there be any loss in energy at the point where two planes meet?
While meeting the second plane, it collides with it. If the collision is elastic, there will be no loss of energy and if the collision is inelastic, there will be loss of energy.
