What can I do if I spill mercury on a household rug?
We cleaned it with warm water, vacuumed, etc. . . Do I need throw away the rug? As far as I can tell, its the 'quicksilver' kind.

I would suggest to throw away the rug because the mercury may still be there and it can cause damage to the lungs. The website suggests to throw away the vacuum too.
