Car Hood Problem?
I have a acura integra and the hood does not close properly. When I put the hood down, the hood does the initial catch (enough so if you want to open it, you have to reach between the front bumper and hood and lift up the lever) but doesnt go into the locked position .. I read the manual and it stated to do the following 1) Adjust position of hood hinges to bring the hood forward or back. 2) Loosen the hood catch mechanism bolts and adjust it left / right and up / down so the hood hits center and is deep enough 3) Twist the two rubber guards on top of the bumper so the hood is level with fenders. I have removed the hood catch mechanism, what type of lube should I use in the catch? The wire that runs from lever under dash to hood latch mechanism is in a rubber sheath and has an anchor at each end. Is there a way to test or adjust this wire? What type of lubrication should I use on both ends of the wire /
you can adjust the hinges and also the latch up front.
