synchronizer replacement?
I am buying a 91 eclipse with an Evo engine AWD turbo. He told me 1st and 2nd slip and Pop Out of place and i think the synchronizer's are wore how much would it be to replace it roughly and is it worth it?
You Could very easily be biting off more than you can chew. The gearbox itself is not the only source of problems with gears not remaining meshed, but could be displaying symptoms of damage from such as a collapsed front bearing or spigot bearing. Replacing synchronisers is a major job on its own. Worn synchro rings don't cause gears to disengage, just grind when engaging. THAT will cause damage to more expensive parts. Be aware you COULD be up for a replacement gearbox and clutch.
