A/C Blower Motor works, but no air flow through the vents?
I have a 2005 Dodge Dakota and I am not getting any air through my vents. I've tried all the different vent settings. The blower motor is working. I can hear the motor running and changing speeds, but only once in a while it will actually blow the air through the vents. The rest of the time it seems to be blowing the air outside or something. It seems to get a little better air flow (not much better) when it is set for the outside mixture and not on recirculate. Thank you for you help .. BC in Austin, TX.
My best guess is the Air Blend Door that is mounted inside the unit just above the passenger side has failed to move or is jammed. On my Jeep I had two doors I think that were on motors, one would open up the heat and the other would direct the flow. Try feeling at your feet or at windshield vents to see if cold air is there. This would tell me that one of those motors that flaps a door shut is non operational or door is jammed. Most newer cars will give a error code for this malfuntion.
